In a collaborative effort to safeguard public health and eradicate polio, the Dukku Emirate Palace recently hosted the official launch of the polio vaccination campaign in the Dukku Local Government Area.

The flag-off ceremony was held in the palace courtyard of His Royal Highness, the Emir of Dukku, underscoring the traditional institution’s unwavering support for healthcare initiatives and community well-being.
Speaking during the event, representatives from the various organizations emphasized the importance of routine immunization, particularly in reaching children under five years of age in rural communities. The campaign also aims to raise awareness about the safety, effectiveness, and necessity of the polio vaccine.
His Royal Highness reaffirmed the palace’s commitment to supporting all public health campaigns and called upon community leaders, parents, and religious institutions to cooperate fully to ensure no child is left unvaccinated.
“Our children are the future. Protecting them from preventable diseases like polio is not just a responsibility, but a duty for all of us,” the Emir stated.
